COLT Country
We're wrapping up (for now) our series on guys to watch out for in 2009 with an omnibus blog entry with Colt Studios as the common denominator. Here we'll take a look at the guys on the list as well as spotlighting the studio's new and upcoming releases, AND we'll review their recent hit Boy Country (which we somehow forgot to critique--ouch!)
First, the big muscle guys. We've already mentioned that Jason Adonis chose Colt to launch his comeback and we'll see where this goes. Vince Ferelli has also doing some stuff for Colt (preceding his Hot House contract), Beg For It (available now from Buckshot) and the upcoming MuscleHeads. In a way this demonstrates Ferelli's versatility---he's at home with the jocks AND muscle men. MuscleHeads features a lot of big guns--Ferelli, Adam Champ, Carlo Masi, Eric Valentin, Skye Woods, Mitch Branson, and newcomer Nate Karlton. Karlton really fits our criteria for hot guys to watch--handsome, picture perfect ripped muscle bod. Oh yeah. Definitely the most exciting Colt prospect since Ricky Parks.
The Colt Buckshot line has been turning out one hot flick after another and making good use of up and coming jock types. As we mentioned Beg For It is the newest release and features Vince Ferelli and a very hot line-up in scenarios with a slightly kinky, kinda bondage style. Almost all the guys in this flick came from or got their breaks at online video sites and are in our "guys to watch" category. They include:
--Hayden Stephens. He's used this name before but you probably know him better as Evan Grey and Seth Sweet. We've mentioned him on previously blogs in our who's who entries and we hadn't seen much of lately. Yet here he is --and you can find him back at Jake Cruise as Seth Sweet with a whole new longer haired and leaner look.
--Nash Lawler. He used to be Kenny from Next Door Studios and Frat Men but as Nash he's been making
studio flicks for Falcon, Hot House, All Worlds, Dirty Bird, etc. He's best buds with Tommy D and still pops in at Next Door periodically. He's yet to bottom on camera but apparently is making noises about flipping--for the right price.
--Philippe Delveaux. This French/Belgian twink star is a Euro sensation and we started seeing him at Next Door Studios where he's had some pretty high profile match-ups.
Also in the cast are more online and studio performers such as Ryan Raz, Derek Nicks, Romario Faria, & Lucky Daniels. Nicks has appeared at Jake Cruise, Daniels at Randy Blue, Faria has been in several films at a few websites, and Raz has been in several high profile flicks.
It's worth mentioning that Colt has also gone the route of Falcon, Hot House and others by offering their new flicks online scene by scene in advance of the full DVD release. In this case it's all part of the package of a Colt membership which includes access to the huge Colt archives.
The other recent flick Boy Country also has a cast made up of relative newcomers and jock types and we'll be reviewing it next time. As with its more muscular counterpart Man Country it's a nonplot-oriented video with a rural outdoors setting. Our review coming up.
