Home Invasion & Overdrive: The Review
We've fallen WAY behind on our DVD reviews so we'll be devoting a good amount of blog entries to catching up--starting now. We'll be starting with Titan since we have a backlog of several movies from this company that we haven't reviewed. For the first two reviews we'll be relatively brief, not because the flicks aren't worthy but because a good many of you have probably already seen them. But we want to be completists, SO.......
Tony Buff Tyler Saint Jackson Wild
Home Invasion.
One of the things we like about a Joe Gage movie is that he never lets the plot of his movies overpower the sex scenes. In Home Invasion Tyler Saint plays a wealthy businessman with three studly sons (Tristan Raine, Jackson Wild, and Sean Preston) who gets held captive in his own home by three studly hoods (Tony Buff, Scott Tanner, and Chad Manning) who want the loot in his safe. The problem is that the hoods have to wait for Preston to arrive since he has the combination to the safe. So in the meantime there are plenty of sexual maneuvers that transpire with all the participants in this domestic melodrama.
There's also a concurrent plot involving an orgy that Wild has set up at the guest house, unaware that dear old dad is tied up in the main house. For the rest of the film, characters on both sides of the law "interact" with each other --a security guard and guests arriving for the orgy all wind up mixing it up so that the "sides" get a little blurred. The plot takes a few twists and turns before the conclusion and everyone seems to get something out of the ordeal.
Home Invasion is just chock full of hot sex scenes thanks to a relatively large cast and some eager performers. Here again Gage really shines as a director concocting hot sex scenarios that are well-photographed and varied enough to make them all seem unique and fresh. Gage's penchant for not so-dangerous criminal characters and horny "good guys" is put to good use here and everyone seems to have a lot of fun----which is always enjoyable. While everyone is quite good (another tribute to Gage's craft) our faves here are Tyler Saint, Tony Buff, and Jackson Wild who all relish their roles with just a little extra incentive. We're not even that fond of orgy scenes and this one may have converted us. All in all, a very memorable video worth watching multiple times.

Dean Flynn Marco Blaze
Overdrive
Director Brian Mills has a very sexy cast to work with in Overdrive but the un-billed and prominent co-star in this "road trip" video is the automobile. It provides the catalyst for much of the plot and it's a great prop for several sex scenes. We actually could call this "auto-erotica". Star Dean Flynn is cruising up the California coast in his car and winds up having a couple of sexual adventures, but it's his convertible that winds up being more of a catalyst for the rest of the movie's action. Flynn picks up sexy Max Schutler at the beach and after having a hot encounter Max makes off with the car, on his way to another sexual adventure. Along the way, Max passes by Dirk Jager (who subsequently has one of the hottest scenes in the movie) and inadvertently triggers a three-way between some roadside workers. At his final destination Max picks ups a stranger (?) takes him to the woods for a quickie. There a horny peeping-tom cop joins in (always the way isn't it?) on the fun. In the meantime Dean does find some clothes (see movie for explanation) and a hot quickie.
Overdrive isn't as cohesive as it could be and there are some questions left unanswered but the extended scene we really liked makes up for it. Dirk Jager brings his car to get washed at some roadside hand-wash and gets it on with Marco Blaze & partner Francois Sagat. After Jager gets satisfied Blaze & Sagat are left alone to have an even hotter session. Newcomer Marco Blaze is definitely worth the hype. Handsome, well-built & hung are always "recommendable" qualities but Blaze also onscreen charisma to back it up. Being on camera seems to excite him even more (we like that) and he gets a little more vocal and aggressive--even getting topped (we like that too!). This isn't Marco Blaze's first Titan flick (he did House Call for Titan Fresh) but it is his first for Titan Men. He's a keeper.
