Coming Soon---XXX
As we mentioned last time, one of the reasons we love going to visit the Steve Cruz blog is that he imbues it with enthusiasm that gets us excited about his upcoming films, especially the ones he's currently directing. Right now he's working on XXX, his third directing assignment for Mustang and from what we've read so far, we have every reason to believe this is going to be another sizzler.
In case you didn't know, XXX is not part of the "Color Box" series that Steve Cruz is directing for Mustang along with videographer Leif Gobo. The first two, Blue Movie and Red Light, will be followed by Green Door, but Steve is taking a break from the series to direct XXX. The premise? Here's what Steve Cruz says on his blog:
"Leif Gobo and I wondered what you'd get when you removed a story, a theme, a wardrobe or even a specific set from a porn movie- what would you be left with? In this case you get 8 horny men hot for sex... a porn movie stripped down to the action!"
Frankly, after their first two efforts we have no doubt that Gobo & Cruz will be turning in a very memorable flick in XXX. For one thing we know that the two can created something that is visually appealing. For another they've got a great talent for casting and XXX looks like they'll be stretching their winning streak. In fact, it's safe to say that if we were to pre-judge a movie on its casting picks alone XXX would be a winner.
Arpad Miklos is one of the stars and he requested Colby Keller, a performer who has been on our radar for a long time now. We're delighted to see Miklos and Cruz recognizing the "it" factor in this sexy stud and we are already drooling over the prospect of their scene. Besides which this is an unexpected match-up which we think is always a good selling point for a porn flick.
The other stars of XXX are an interesting mix too and again we're impressed that Cruz & Lobo are thinking outside the box and giving us guys and match-ups that increase our anticipation. Race Cooper is a super hot newcomer and who is debuted in this film. Check out the blog and see this guy's incredible bod. Thank goodness Steve Cruz didn't have to look very far for this one--they're workout partners! Cruz & Lobo paired him up with Scott Alexander which apparently was a great choice because the two apparently had instant on-camera chemistry. Another relative newcomer is Cole Streets who gets paired with Vinnie D'Angelo. Apparently Cole has done online video stuff before but this is his first studio flick.
If XXX was a food recipe then Derek DaSilva would be the extra spice. He's been doing fetish stuff in films and some hot electro bondage stuff gets incorporated into his bonus scene with Scott Campbell. In the interview on Steve's blog DaSilva considers it singularly interesting among things he's done on film so you know we'll be watching out for this one.
Next week it looks like XXX or at least the directors' cut scene should be available at Falcon. We'll be sure and keep you posted.
