Fraternizing With The Frat Men
Frat Men and its companion site Frat Pad are among several high quality websites rarely get the kind of publicity that they truly deserve. It's the ironic consequence of consistency. When sites like these put out quality entertainment with hot guys week after week with little or no controversy they're not likely to get the news and exposure that they should. So, we're here to remedy the situation, at least partially, with a mini-spotlight on these two companion sites.
First we should mention that what spurred us to action was the newest video at Frat Men. It's called "Two Four Two" and it features TWO sets of identical twins. Websites have been prone to making a big deal when they get twins on their site, and justifiably so. But TWO sets? Now it may be too early for the gay blogs and gay press to talk about this, but we were still surprised that this hasn't generated any publicity yet. One of the sets of twins, Dustin & Darren, are straight and they're guesting at Frat Pad this week as "pledges". The other set of twins are split--one is gay, the other straight. That said, the "TwoFourTwo" video features all four together in the shower and in bed side by side "taking care of business".
Now we should also mention at the start that there there hasn't been a complete drought of publicity about Frat Men or Frat Pad. After all, the two sites are perennially nominated for awards in gay erotica. Then there was the recent story about a former Frat Men model who was kicked off his college wrestling team when his past was revealed (see Huskers Do!). Thankfully this story had a happy ending and the wrestler went on to win an NCAA title in his weight division. Besides you can look over the roster of sexy guys at Frat Men and spot several guys who have gone on to relative fame at other sites and in films.
The point we're making is that during the last few years both Frat Men and Frat Pad have constantly been evolving and expanding their sites, providing hot guys in hot videos and sexy live shows with little if any fanfare. Without naming any sites we've observed that other sites and studios have noticed what Frat Men & Frat Pad are doing and tried their best to duplicate it.
For newcomers here's the lowdown on Frat Pad and Frat Men. Frat Pad was once described to us by the site's webmaster as "real reality TV" and that pretty well sums it up perfectly. Eight hot & horny jocks (or more) live together in a real house (the actual "fratpad" which gets bigger and more luxurious with each season) and for at least 13 hours a day from 10 AM to 11 PM Pacific you can tune in, watch everything they do, and chat with them. Six strategically placed cameras (in the pad proper, the gym, the bar, the kitchen, the deck, and the show area) follow the action and at various scheduled times one or more of the guys has the webcam all to himself to do whatever he's in the mood for. Oh yeah, and it's not uncommon to see the guys wearing little or nothing. The guys who live in the Frat Pad consist of the "actives" (guys who live there for an extended period) , "alums", and "pledges". There are special shows (weekly "Frat Pad Fridays") and pay-per-view events and much of the "antics" are archived so members can watch them later. Frat Pad can be addictive as you can well imagine especially if you're into ultra-friendly uninhibited jock guys.
On the other hand Frat Men is probably more traditional as far as online video sites go. There are solo videos of beautiful jocks (who usually wind up at Frat Pad) and accompanying galleries posted weekly and live webcam shows featuring the guys of Frat Men. In these live shows is where Frat Men has stepped in up. The hour-long live shows are now daily, shown on a bigger viewing screen, and with new faces as well as alumni--often alone but sometimes with a special guest. The live shows give you a chance to see what the guys are like personality wise a they chat with members. Plus the spontaneity is often more sexually appealing. In addition the archive is updated daily so it has grown considerably. And with over four years of live shows in the archives we're talking a lot of content. It's virtually impossible not to be charmed by at least of few of the guys here and they always "deliver" sexually.
As you've probably noticed we have our share of favorite guys and websites and Frat Men & Frat Pad make it very easy to include them on our list. Even among our favorite sites there are very few that offer new daily content the likes of these two quality sites. Frat Men & Frat Pad may not make enough noise about their sites and you may not even have known about all the content there--but that's what this blog entry was all about.
