It's true that the Cybersocket Awards winners and the GayVN Awards nominations have dominated the news this past week, but there are still some more items of interest that we thought you should know about. In general it continue to looks like 2009 is shaping up as a big year even as there is a debate as to whether the porn industry is recession-proof.

 Matthew Rush's post-Falcon career continues to evolve following his appearance at MIghty Men. Hot Older Male has posted pics of Rush on the set of his upcoming video Brief Encounters. In the video sexy hairy chested daddy Tim Kelly and Matthew Rush have a steamy shower encounter. The DVD is expected in early March and it's expected to be a big seller. Also, next week we'll be able to publicize Matthew Rush's next appearance. We can't reveal it yet but it's now definite. One hint: you'll be able to see it online LIVE! There's an interesting back story here too that will make your head spin so be sure and stay tuned.

 Steve Cruz received 6 GayVN nominations this week and five of them went to Blue Movie, the first of his efforts for Mustang. As we've reported his second feature Red Light is due shortly and he has one more left in this "color" trilogy. In the meantime he has finished filming XXX, another feature for Mustang that's separate from the trilogy. It's an all-sex flick that is purposely free of plot, sets, wardrobe, etc. There will be some props though since there are some fetish elements to XXX including an "electricity" scene that Cruz is very excited about. Mustang will post a scene online ahead of film's release with players Derek da Silva and Scott Campbell. Also featured in XXX will be Vinnie D'Angelo, Arpad Miklos, Scott Alexander, newcomer(and Cruz discovery) Race Cooper, Colby Keller and Cole Streets. BY the way Colby Keller's scene will be with Miklos while Cooper is teamed with Alexander. As for the color trilogy is finishes up with Cruz "RGB" (so-named for the red-green-blue color models in computers, video, etc)

  A Boston police officer is under investigation for providing a police escort for Falcon stars Aden & Jordan Jaric on their way to an appearance at a local nightclub last fall. This was reported in the news this past week so it's unclear why or how this incident has come to light now. The officer is now working a desk job during the investigation and no reason was given why the police officer gave the married pair an escort. From our point of view the reason seems fairly obvious---the officer had to be gay and knew who the Jarics were. Who knows, it could have been a slow night and he was doing something akin to community service.
