Make Me A Super Model Profiles
A few days ago we took a look at the line-up of aspiring models for the new season of Make Me a Super Model that premieres on Bravo on March 4 and we posted our initial impressions from the preliminary website. Since then the MMASM website has been updated with full profiles and it gave us a much better idea of who we'll be seeing this season.
Amanda, 21. From Banks, OR. Apparently she already had a career as a teen model in Asia. She's now a single mom living back home and works in the "health & wellness" industry. We assume that she's got the modeling bug again.
Branden, 18. From Lake Tahoe, NV. He's been a model for year now and lives in Oregon with mom. Self-professed mama's boy and ladies' man. Somehow we have a feeling he's not going to get very far with ladies here .
Chris, 22. From Libertyville, Il. His bio makes him sound like more of a candidate for Project Runway than MMASM because he goes to a design college and works at a clothing store in LA. Plus, he aspires to create his own clothing line. Quite likely one of the gay contestants.
CJ, 18. From San Ramon, CA. Colorful, that's for sure. Engineering student who works for a private investigator. Into motorcycle stunts and into lots of outdoor sports & recreation. Sounds like she works for an agency that specializes in the offbeat. DEfinitely not a "girly girl".
Colin, 21. From Charlottesville, VA. The brain in the bunch, a nerd who blossomed into a bit of a stud. He still aspires to a career in science but is giving this profession a try too, even though he hasn't any experience. It'll be interesting to see if he has a second "metamorphosis".
Gabriel, 22. Charlotte, NC. Another one who started as a teen model but who is now more focused on academics. Artistic and athletic, his profile makes him sound like a perfect candidate for one of those dating/matchmaking shows although he has a bit of the brooding loner thing going on.
Jonathan, 26. From Southampton, UK. This season MMASM is more international although this married dad lives in LA. He likes traveling and learning about different cultures and likes outdoorsy stuff too. Seems likable, although his accent might give others a snobbish impression.
Jordan, 21. From San Antonio, TX. Another brain with modeling experience and she describes herself as quick-witted, competitive, and a loner. We could be wrong but sounds like trouble for the rest of the girls.
Karen, 22. From Ocean Springs, MS. One of two contestants with a heartbreaking back story--a brother who died in an accident. She describes herself has having a competitive drive with a "heart of gold". She's here to win in order to lift her family's spirits. Probably will be stirring up viewers' emotions.
Ken, 24. From Winterville, NC. Another teen model who has other aspirations, mostly music. A rocker and personal trainer he could be the resident hunk. A military brat and possible good 'ol boy.
Kerryn, 24. From Russelville, AR. Proud southern girl, went to a Christian modeling school (whatever THAT is!) Working on her jewelry line and designing stuff. Has a brother who's an Iraq war vet and an inspiration to her. Sounds very much like last year's winner Holly.
Laury, 23. Miami, Fl. Comes from a big family and is an animal lover so she definitely scores there. Has already been an international model so she comes in with lots of experience. Could go either way in terms of her likability with other contestants.
Mountaha, 23, From Brazil. Lives in the US now and started out when she was 14! Very much into fashion, vintage clothing, and poetry. Her video made her seem a little icy but we'll wait and see what happens.
Salome, 19. From Altamont, TN. Definitely the most interesting bio but it could work against her too. Very little modeling experience and was raised as a Mennonite (a modern Amish). That means very little pop culture or modern technology and has worked hard since the age of four! She may fall back an awful lot on her "but I'm a Mennonite" excuse. We'll see.
Sandhurst, 22. From Tobago. His Caribbean community urged him to become a model and he pursued that as well as dance (which he's studied almost half his life). Don't think he'll have much trouble in runway shows unless his experiences makes him flourish too much. Be interesting to see which way he swings.
Shawn, 30, Seattle, WA. Odd to see someone of his age here although his heart-rending story is the reason. He was inspired to get back into modeling because of the death of his brother. He also has a husband so no guessing involved in the sexuality dept.
So, as you can see this is a very diverse cast for the season and very colorful. The producers were really trying hard this time around to mix it up for this second season---we'll see if it pays off.
