Falcon has announced that superstar Matthew Rush will be ending his "lifetime exclusive" contract with the company as of January 11 when he performs his last live show performance at the site. The muscular star is not retiring, but will now be pursuing other ventures. Matthew Rush has been an exclusive with Falcon Studios since 2000 and signed a lifetime contract in 2002. In the past 8 years he's appeared in over 25 films, won a Best Newcomer award, and become a fan and industry favorite.

 Apparently this is an amicable departure from Falcon, since the company has nothing but glowing praise for Matthew Rush. The company called his contributions to Falcon "immeasurable – the name Matthew Rush is inarguably the most recognized name in the gay adult film industry." And the company included the following statement at the blog:

" Although Matthew will be officially shedding his title of ‘Falcon Lifetime Exclusive’ we hope to work with him again in the very near future. We thank Matthew from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to spend eight amazing years – truly a lifetime in porn years - with us and we wish him the very best and continued success.....We know this is not a good-bye but rather just an ‘until we meet again’…"

 Matthew Rush has gained a reputation as a "consumate professional" and so it seems likely that other studios anf filmmmakers will be clamoring for his services. For our part we can't wait to see Rush in other ventures and appearing with some non-Falcon models and performers. His appearances in Falcon movies have waned in the past year or so and it will be fascinating to see what's next for him both in adult films and elsewhere.

 On a personal note, we have had the privilege of being acquainted with Matthew Rush here and elsewhere and we've been impresssed with his genuine kindness and sincerity as well as his professionalism.  We knew him a little bit before we launched our site and when we approached him for an interview he couldn't have been more accomodating and gracious. Whatever he does next, we wish him much success and happiness.
