The Best Of 2008: The Online Video Sites

Narrowing down our list of favorite adult film stars was difficult enough but when it came to compiling our list on favorite online video sites and stars it was impossible. There were so many great sites, so many wonderfully sexy guys, and some pretty amazing videos that we would have "top ten" lists in all sorts of categories from now until the end of 2009. That said, we will have several entries recapping the best of 2008 in the online video genre and like last year we hope to include all our favorites with our OWN categories. This way, as many sites as possible get their due...as follows:
Best Comeback: Mighty Men. The site that gave career boosts to Reese Rideout & Chris Rockway hadn't really gone away but it re-emerged in 2008 as a "starmaker" by providing a stepping stone to Vince Ferelli and introducing us to Leo Giamani. Best start for the year: Cody Cummings. When he was Tyler Cummings, we eagerly anticipated his random appearances. When he became Cody and got his own site in January we were in heaven. After a year of solos, straight scenes, bi-scenes, and "gay for pay" scenes we adore him even more. Our Jack Manly Man Of The Year for 2007 did us proud.
Best for giving more & more: Next Door Studios & Next Door Pass. Last year this family of sites gave you 5 for the price of one. This year it ended up with an 8 for 1 deal!

Best use of a sex addict: Mason Wyler. Next Door surprised everyone by introducing this one at year's end. It was long overdue and a perfect showcase for the self-confessed oversexed stud.
Best site for floppy-haired studs: Chaos Men. Floppy-haired guys, natural bodies are just as commonplace as muscular guys and some future stars at this consistently sexy site.
Most muscular site: Manifest Men. This was already an awesome site but in '08 it was redesigned, it increased its videos and pics, it hired Adam Killian as videographer, and started showing at least one LIVE show per week including strings of shows broadcast from the studio as videos were filmed. Then there were the exceptional men from Alain Lamas To Zeb Atlas.
Most variety For str8 male models: Club Hancock. This site is more than str8 sex videos--it's got fetish, tranny, dominatrix, etc. and all for the pleasure of gay audiences.
Most artistically done kink site: Bound Gods. Van Darkholme was put in charge of Kink Men and developed this site featuring well-done totally hot gay bondage videos.

Best site for giving back to its models: Corbin Fisher. Ealier this year CF announced it was offering health insurance, financial plans, and more to its models---talk about gratitude!
Most consistently hot: Cocky Boys. This was our pick last year as best new site and Kyle Majors and his guys just keep working hard to provide one of the hottest sites around. Great variety too.
Best customer appreciation: Chaos Men. Two years in a row the site had a holiday treat and this past year it had 13 straight days of all new videos!

Most ambitious video: Randy Blue. The site pushed the boundaries of online video by releasing an extra-length video Alley Cats---a tribute to crime noir Hollywood drama.
Most stars in one site: Randy Blue. The stars here may start out elsewhere or wind up elsewhere, but this site is like the MGM of online video sites.
Best new spin-off site: Cocksure Men. Jake Cruise granted the wishes of his members by starting a new site featuring the hot guys from his original site and letting them go at it without putting himself or girls in the videos.
Most fun on a daily basis: FratPad. Over 12 hours a day of webcam fun in a house with half a dozen sexy jocks. The real "reality TV" site that is ALWAYS hot.
Dreamiest sex videos: FratMen. These guys look like they stepped out of an A & F catalog and are shot in the most flattering light--but they get down and dirty like every other site.
Best location shoots (tie): Sean Cody & Straight College Men. Whether these sites are at mountain resort, desert retreats, tropical retreats, etc the guys just seem get more uninhibited and "enthusiastic". Total fun!
Best genetics (tie): Corbin Fisher & Sean Cody. We couldn't decide which site had the more impossibly perfect guys that look like they were genetically engineered.
Best sites to see amateurs and pros together (tie): Cocky Boys, Suite 703 (Hot Jocks, Nice Cocks, My Brother's Hot Friend, Men Hard At Work). Newcomers, amateurs and guys who have done studio productions are all at home at these sites. The results of these pairings is dynamic.
Most interesting milestones: Cocky Boys. In the course of 2008, the site had more than its share of pivotal videos. They included Brodie Sinclair's first bottom scene, final videos of Eddie Stone, Nickolay Petrov, and other key moments.
Sexiest non-explicit videos: Male Perfection. Sexy models in semi-nude and "artistic" nude videos shot so well you'd think they were explicit. AND..if you do want to see many of these models in explicit videos there's the companion site Rock Hard Jocks. Amazing assortment of stars and up and comers.
Best music. Male Perfection & Rock Hard Jocks. These two sites also benefit by the inspired use of dance music remixes. The best part is that the music info is also available in case you want to purchase it.
Best upgrade surprise: Model Men. This site started out as a high quality gallery site for models and newcomers to the adult biz. The site then surprised us with some remarkably good quality, explicit videos featuring the site's models. Lots of potential here.

Hottest Southern boys: Southern Strokes. This site got wise to the fact that there were all these sexy guys living in the South that hadn't ventured to either coast to appear in videos. You'll love the accents and the fresh faces.
Best site with an original idea that hasn't gone stale #1: Maskurbate. This Canadian based site is still as as kinky and addictive as before featuring guys wearing masks and having sex. AND..thanks to model Dereck getting a Raging Stallion contract as Manuel DeBoxer, it's gotten much more exposure.
Best site with an original idea that hasn't gone stale #2: Men at Play. This classy Brit site feature unarguably hot sexy men just keeps on turning out high quality videos with sexy stories featuring men in suits.
Best porn star training site: College Dudes 24/7. So many guys have been recruited from here for studio porn that you'd think it was a training school. It helps that the guys here give it their all in everything they do. If you want to see chemistry, this is the site.
Best site that promotes Florida tourism: ManAvenue. With all the hot Miami area guys in these videos and some frequently exotic locales you couldn't have a better love letter for Florida.
Best site for romantics: Randall/Rivero. Zack Randall & Derek Rivero make for a very cute and committed couple and they have taken this to a whole other level with their own site featuring them and many new guest stars.
Best site that makes the models do the work. You Love Jack. The guys get a camera to film themselves alone or with other guys and the result is very refreshingly hot.
