In many ways, we wouldn't be doing the film any justice by telling you about it in our own words so we'll let the excerpts from the press release do it for us:

"In the world of evangelical Christianity, the very existence of a gay and Christian singing duo is a source of controversy. By breaking rules and stereotypes, Jason & deMarco hope to prove in We’re All Angels that life can be lived beyond conventional rules and without boundaries.

"We’re All Angels (www.wereallangels.com) is an in-depth look into the lives of real-life lovers, Jason & deMarco — at their music and their lives, at home, in the studio, on stage and on the road. The film fearlessly tackles the struggles of growing up, coming out, falling in love and living and working together. Through their story, the documentary takes on hot-button issues such as religion and its relationship to sexuality and the fiery resistance of many evangelical Christians to the expression of homosexual love. The film has already been condemned by evangelical Christian groups and various Catholic organizations.
Jason & deMarco rose to prominence in the LGBT community in 2004 when they appeared on the cover of The Advocate magazine with the release of their album, Spirit Pop. 'The Advocate cover introduced us to people outside of the community of faith, “relates Jason Warner of Jason & deMarco. "The irony, however, was that we were intending to launch our mainstream pop career. The magazine focused on our being Christian and gay, which branded us as the poster boys for the gay Christian community.'

'I think people are going to find it very funny and entertaining, as well as thought-provoking, and at least a little bit sexy. There has been such a tremendous response to this film since it premiered on Showtime,' says director Robert Nunez. 'I’m so excited about getting the DVD out to people. We worked hard to make sure it was loaded with tons of stimulating special features.'

"Director Robert Nunez spent the past decade as an entertainment reporter, interviewing the biggest names in Hollywood for outlets such as Cinecanal in Latin America, British Sky Broadcasting in the UK and Hollywood.com. He’s also produced DVD content for Universal Studios and Disney, bringing his talents to such titles as Knight Rider, American Pie presents Band Camp, Death Race 2000, A Beautiful Mind, Bring It On Again, The Rockford Files and many more.

"Jason and deMarco have recently taken advantage of California’s controversial gay marriage laws and made their relationship official in a ceremony held in Los Angeles after Jason received a proposal from deMarco on their seventh anniversary. With the passage of California’s Proposition 8, ironically backed by many religious groups, the couple await to to see if their marriage will still be recognized.
We’re All Angels debuted on Showtime in June 2008. The DVD, available in January 2009, will be loaded with special features including a provocative look at sex and religion, a revealing behind-the-scene featurette, resources for youth, thirteen deleted scenes, musical performances and a lively commentary with the director and two stars."

What we can say in our own words, and with great sincerity, is that you owe it to yourselves to see this independent film that says so much about the universality of true love.
