A few days ago we were very touched by a special commentary on Proposition 8 made by Keith Olbermann, host of the unapologetically liberal Countdown on MSNBC. There's really no point in us posting it here in transcript form because although the words are powerful, their delivery is much more meaningful and poignant. So we're letting you hear it for yourself, in case you haven't already.

 Our protests are important and our voices raised in unison against have great power and impact, but the comments made by a deeply empathetic Mr Olbermann have tremendous value too. He simply and effectively puts on the defensive those who favor the banning of same-sex marriage. If you know people might need convincing, here's a video to show them.

 On a day when Connecticut cleared the last hurdle for their state's same-sex marriage law we rejoice in their victory while bemoaning the fact that California has taken a giant step backwards. We present this video to remind you and us that we are not alone in this battle. Thank you Keith.
