Attention aspiring actors, porn stars and extras looking for a role you can "sink your teeth into"! Get your resumes and headshots in order because that here! TV erotic vampire series The Lair has issued a casting call for "several recurring roles" and "crowd scene" extras for the show's third season which begins filming in LA from late November through December. Appropriately just in time for Halloween, auditions are being held today October 29 and tomorrow October 30. The good news is that SAG membership is not a prerequisite for auditioning. However, you do need to email your materials to the casting director--he's not accepting phone calls or walk-ins. 

  If you've seen or heard about the series you know that many of the scenes feature nudity as well as male on male sexuality and the roles being offered reflect that. They include the following:

 --Athan, a 20-30 dangerous & sexy character (sounds like several cast members already!)

 --Harris, a smart & handsome bookstore owner also in his 20's or 30s.

 --Dennis, a loner rebel type anywhere from 18-30 (this role may or may not have nudity)

 --Tad, handsome 20-30s corporate type (no nudity).

 --Dr Kent, 20-30 non-nude role, ethnic type.

 --Charlie, youngish 18-30 bar-type.

 --Marcus, also 18-30 and a drug dealer (no nudity)

 --Bobby, another bar patron, 18-30 type (no nudity)
 
 --Campbell, a young police officer (no nudity)

 --Matt, the 30ish bar owner (no nudity)

 --Matthews, 30-40 something mysterious stranger type (possible male-male scenes)

 As for the extras, they will be in non-nude crowd scenes and consist of non-speaking roles.

 As we mentioned at the top of this entry, porn stars are welcome to audition. The casting director is Gino Colbert whom you may know as porn star turned director & producer and he's actively seeking adult actors who would want to 'cross over" to do mainstream media. Apparently the show is produced by the same company that bought Specialty Publications (Men, Unzippped, Freshmen, etc) and has so far featured quite a few adult stars in the show. Notably Colton Ford appeared as the sheriff and Brad Benton (aka Dylan Vox) have had fairly big co-starring roles. Check out the series and you'll also see the likes of Johnny Hazzard, Damon Phoenix, Zak Spears, Tyler Saint, Marco Paris, Park Wiley, Jason Crew, Dean Phoenix, the late Cole Ryder, and Michael Von Steel (we still want to know what happened to him).

  As we mentioned the filming takes place next month but auditions are only taking place now.
