Waaaasup!: The Sequel & Other Political Videos

There have been an amazing amount of memorable moments (both good & bad) in this very long Presidential election and it still boggles the mind to think that in this age of viral video we can revisit those moments anytime we wish. Then there are those who realize what is at stake here in this election and have been inspired to create their own videos that are sometimes so brilliant that we are rendered speechless. Everyone from concerned citizens to entertainment personalities have blown us away with their desire to make a difference. Today we saw three videos that we had to share. They all express their points of view differently with originality and satirical humor that made us laugh and think.

The first is a "sequel" to the Budweiser commercial that first aired back in December of 1999 and featured four friends and their constant "whaaasup!"  greeting and chants. It was a commercial that spawned sequels and parodies was a bit of sensation for a few years.  Now the four original actors from the ad have reunited for am "eight years later" sequel that is awesome. It sums up the last eight years, our current woes, and really works. Think about the Cindy McCain-Budweiser connection and you'll see the irony.

The second is an animated feature that is funny to be sure but scary as well.

Then Ron Howard surprised us with one that you can see at Funny or Die. Who knew? Here's the link.
