We're coming up on that special time of year in West Hollywood. When the aroma of lipstick wafts through the air. When the gentle rustling of chiffon mixes with the distinct sounds of high heels clip-clopping along the streets. When you'll see multitudes of costumed divas with their hair piled high upon their heads parading along the streets as though it were the Easter parade. Yes, it's time for Halloween and this year there will be several events in addition to  the usual  West Hollywood  "Halloween Carnival".  For two nights in a row porn director and co-owner of Channel 1 Releasing Chi Chi LaRue will be hosting two special club events in celebration of our un-official gay "holiday".

 It all kicks off on Thursday October 30 where the drag diva will be the "celebrity DJ" at Temptation the weekly club that takes over the Apple Restaurant and Lounge . In the "Pop 'n' Cock" lounge Chi Chi will be providing the music and hosting from 10 PM to 2 AM. Also on hand will be Channel 1 performer Benjamin Bradley. Bradley will be handing out free porn DVDs so it's advisable to show up early.

 On Friday night Halloween Santa Monica Blvd will be closed off for the "official" celebration. There'll be the usual controlled craziness of costume parades, prizes, etc--a Weho tradition ever since the city was incorporated in the 1980s. By the way, before that it was a much more free-spirited non-commercialized affair although it had gotten slightly chaotic and semi-hazardous by the time the city stepped in to close off the street to vehicles. It took a few years for Weho residents to get used to this new status quo and it has become THE place to be.

 On Friday Chi Chi Larue moves over to Here Lounge for the "Dirty Sexy Scary Halloween" party which runs from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Again Chi Chi DJs and Jason Sechrest hosts. There'll be 10 go-go dancers in addition to appearances by adult performers Brent Everett, Dean Coxx and Josh West.  The good news is that between 6 and 9 admission is FREE and all those that show up can get their hands stamped for re-entry all through the night.
For earlybirds drag queen Tammie Brown will get a free shot of "Chi Chi's Poison Punch" (sounds delish eh?) and will also have a chance to win up to $400 in the Dirty Sexy Scary Costume Contest. Plus Sechrest will be on stage interviewing many of the models & performers represented by agency Fabscout Entertainment.

 Not enough? Well, Chi Chi will also be giving away free Halloween-themed DVDs (adult, of course!) and promoting the November opening of the official Channel 1 Studio Store. That's right, there will be a brand-new retail store specializing in Channel 1 releasing merchandise and it'll be located in the heart of Weho on Santa Monica Blvd.  We may not be attending the Halloween parties but we plan on being on hand for the grand opening of the store.
