Where In The World Is Michael Von Steel?

Online video star Michael Von Steel has gone missing. This is not our cute way of saying that the handsome, tall & leanly muscled performer who has been an audience favorite for several years has retired or changed his name. It means that he hasn't been heard from in months and there is concern about his welfare. One of our friends ran into Jake Cruise (where he was a top draw) at the Gay Erotic Expo in NYC and asked about Michael Von Steel only to learn from Mr Cruise that he hadn't heard from him in months. The producers of the GLBT cable channel here! series The Lair had also tried to contact the actor for the second season since he had already been featured in season one. However, their efforts were also unsuccessful. So, what gives? If anyone knows anything about Michael Von Steel there are many who would like to find out if he's ok.
Some of you may be as confused as we were when we found out this info. After all, several weeks ago it seemed that Michael Von Steel had returned to Jake Cruise when the site posted up two new videos. As it turns out those were filmed before he dropped out of sight . It also explains why his physical appearance in both those videos was so dissimilar. And whatever the circumstances might be we hope that the sexy star is ok.
When we first spotted Michael Von Steel in Men Magazine back in '06 we had no idea that he had already been designated as the "next superstar of adult entertainment" by Unzipped Magazine the previous year. We soon discovered his work at Randy Blue (as Steel) and Chaos Men (in photos as Rusty) and his then current mainstay Jake Cruise and couldn't get enough. A Playgirl appearance as "JR" and a role on the aforementioned The Lair seemed to make the case for the Unzipped prediction. Then......a surprising drop off in MVS appearances.
We couldn't even guess as to what has happened to Michael Von Steel or when it happened or why although changes in his physical appearance over his last few Jake Cruise videos do give us pause. It could also be that he decided to quit the biz without warning (we've known several guys who did just that). But, as we say we do want to know.
