Fierce Dog: New Site Alert

You can add one more to the growing list of gay adult studios that have launched websites with original online video content: Fierce Dog. It's understandable if you haven't heard of Fierce Dog because it's only been around a couple years and released four DVDs--The Bottoming Desire, Latin Interview Boys, Vancouver Nights, and Jonathan's Load. (by the way the online store started a sale as of last Friday). While Fierce Dog was producing these videos (and they are ALL well-produced and feature some hot stars like Brent Everett, Brad Star, Pierre Fitch, and others) it was also developing an online video site.  At the end of July the "beta" version of Fierce Dog was launched and it went through the testing process by bloggers, industry pros, friends, etc.

Finally in September Fierce Dog was launched and it already features almost 20 original videos featuring a diverse assortment of sexy guys--some faces you'll recognize while some are brand new. It's a very promising site and we'll be posting up a complete review later this week. When that happens we'll announce it here as well.

What we can tell you right now about Fierce Dog is that it has gone out on a limb to become a standout website. It isn't that unusual for new websites to come across as ambitiously upbeat about itself or its commitment to quality but we were particularly impressed by Fierce Dog. First, Fierce Dog spent a good deal of time to test the site, get feedback and then launch it.  Because of this thought-out process we have a tendency to take more seriously the site's mission statements. So when one of the reps from Fierce Dog wrote to us to say "..we make every effort to seek out not only the hottest guys possible, but also film extremely high quality content for your surfers to enjoy...along with a guarantee that we will update the site each week"  we don't doubt it for second.

Of course our intuition about Fierce Dog is not necessarily enough so we can tell you some things that are more tangible. The site has the "ability to stream HD quality media to your home computer, contains all original Fierce Dog content, and is priced right." In other words the videos are DRM-free & MAC-compatible and they are downloadable (as are the galleries). As for pricing membership starts at $24.95 per month and Fierce Dog rewards long-term members with reductions in fees. After three months membership drops to $21.95 per month and after six months it drops to only $18.95 per month.

Fierce Dog spent a good deal of time developing its site before launching, but they told us they are still making adjustments which will be evident by this Friday. When that happens you can expect OUR review to go live too. In the future you can expect that Fierce Dog will also be "fiercely" marketing itself so you'll more than likely be seeing more press about it. So stay tuned.
