The Corbin Fisher Surge
When we talk about consistently successful online video sites there are a handful of names invariably that come up and Corbin Fisher is one of them for good reason. It has a successful formula, has stuck with it for almost five years, and looks to keep going. Sure, other sites have tried to replicate Corbin Fisher and just as predictably none have truly succeeded. Why? Corbin Fisher is popular maybe because of unique combination of factors--including beautifully shot sexy videos filled with hot guys, many of whom have stayed with the site for years. Now we all know that marketing and publicity are an integral part of continued success and we're starting to see a push from Corbin Fisher in this regard.
Last year Corbin Fisher tested the waters a little with a calendar and this year the company has gone even further with another calendar, a new coffee table book, a "best of" DVD, its own online store, and the appearance of one of their top models in Freshmen Magazine.
First, let's start off with the book Amateur College Men by Corbin Fisher published by Bruno Gmunder. It's full of the stunning photographs you see in the preview section of the site and which are available to Corbin Fisher members. What many of you might not know is that the photographs reproduced here are not screencaps and often are shot in outdoor settings. Many have compared the Corbin Fisher "look" to that of an explicit version of A + F. This book and the companion 2009 Corbin Fisher Calendar provide a potent amount of visual pleasure. As for the store it has the above mentioned items and a signature visor (it sells for $12.95 or $9.95 for members) but the premiere item is the first Corbin Fisher DVD, The Best Of Lucas: Volume I. It features one of the site's most popular superstars Lucas who first appeared in January of 2005 and has been active at the site since. He's appeared in 45 (and counting) videos at the Amateur College Men site and 12 at the straight/bi video site Amateur College sex. It goes without saying he's done just about everything and been paired up with some very hot guys. The DVD features a handful of these appearances but they have all been re-cut & re-mastered. In addition there are outtakes, a slideshow and a collectors' booklet with more pictures. It runs 90 minutes and sell for $59.95 or $49.95 for members.
Finally there's the new October issue of Freshmen Magazine. Once again the publication features guys from the world of online video sites including Brent, another favorite from Corbin Fisher. Previously the magazine has featured other Corbin Fisher models including Dawson and Andy Honda (known as Cody).
Incidentally, this issue also features Kaden from Active Duty (who broke through to studio films starring The Porn Ultimatum) and Lucas Vick (the stud from Randy Blue). Here's an interesting bit of trivia about Brent and the above-mentioned Lucas---between the two of them they've done 90 videos at Corbin Fisher and only appeared once together!
