When Worlds Collide: Joe Oppedisano
Photographer Joe Oppedisano is no stranger to the world of gay porn and male erotica, having been a photographer on several adult films, featured well-known performers in his work, and done promotional material for the industry. Of course the internationally renowned photographer is known for much more, his work having appeared in tons of magazines and in recent years his own books, calendars and film (see below).
Now New York based photographer Oppedisano is venturing back into the world of adult male erotica by signing on as the still photographer on the upcoming and soon-to-be-talked-about Mustang flick Blue Movie. In case you hadn't heard about this upcoming Falcon film, Raging Stallion exclusive Steve Cruz and Leif Gobo have signed on as a team to direct Blue Movie and the co-directors plan to make this as an homage to the porn films of the 70s & 80s. Performers will include Zak Spears, Dillon Buck, Nick Piston, CJ Madison, Nick Moretti, Scott Campbell, Colton Steele and Adam Herst and the film should start up sometime later this month. Of course it will be interesting to see these guys in this retro milieu.
Of course the studio is very pleased to have Joe Oppedisano back with the studio since he had photography for preview Mustang flicks Afterhours, Forced Entry, and Limits. Blue Movie will actually be a reunion of sorts since Oppedisano worked with Cruz & Gobo worked on Limits. Cruz & Oppedisano obviously have good chemistry since Steve Cruz is featured on the cover (and inside) of his newest book Uncensored.
While we're on the subject, Joe Oppedisano's body of work is extraordinary. It's uniquely bold and daring in its appreciation of raw masculine eroticism and for us it is the kind of photographic art that we can't get enough of. And we certainly are not alone in our opinion. As we mentioned it features Steve Cruz along with Colton Ford, Tober Brandt, Jake Deckard, Erik Rhodes and more from the world of gay erotica.
