Hotter Than Hell Part 2: The Review

It's unlikely that those whose beliefs include a vision of hell as a fiery and tortuous eternity of damnation will be attracted to or take too kindly to the portrayal of the underworld found in the dark sex fantasy
Hotter Than Hell Part 2. As Raging Stallion sees it, hell is populated with horny gay demons spending their afterlife engaged in hot sex and recruiting earth-bound sexual compulsives to join their eternal orgy. Those who are squeamish about such blasphemous themes might just as well stay away.

Hotter Than Hell Part 2 is a continuation from the events of Hotter Than Hell Part 1 but it goes into a stranger and darker direction and whether it's intentional has a bit of subtle commentary too. In the beginning there is a fast-paced montage of clips from Hotter Than Hell Part 1 but it's meant for those who saw the first film and need cap. If you haven't seen the first film, this montage might not make any sense, but it will give you an accurate impression of this movie's chaotic style, in spite of it being told in a fairly linear style. It's the inherent danger of having two directors--in this case it's Chris Ward & Ben Lyon

For those who don't want to rent or buy the first film, here's our basic recap of
Hotter Than Hell Part 1. Steve Cruz is a stalker, sexually obsessed with Damien Crosse who rebuffs his advances. Ricky Sinz is the devil who has viewed this little soap opera from hell and grants Cruz' wish---a night with Crosse. Of course it's the old story of getting what you want and losing interest---which is how Steve Cruz winds up, turning the tables and rejecting Crosse. Of course Devil Sinz fulfilled his part of the bargain (that Cruz didn't know he made) and the film ends with him promising to collect the price.

Hotter Than Hell Part 2 starts out promisingly with Steve Cruz walking along the late night city streets after dumping Damien Crosse and feeling pretty cocky. After hearing strange noises and having a confrontation with a street person, Cruz starts to get scared, hurrying along the street while carelessly dropping his keys down a sewer grate. The camera takes it eye off Sinz and follows the keys to an underground location where Logan McCree, Tober Brandt, and Dak Ramsey are having a rough & tumble three-way. Apparently these guys are the devil's helpers who go up to street level and beat the crap out of Steve Cruz leaving him on the ground where he's arrested by a cop (devil Ricky Sinz in disguise) who hauls him "downtown" for questioning.  Of course he's actually been taken to hell where Sinz reveals all --that Cruz is about to pay the price for his sex deal.  Sexually speaking, all hell breaks loose in a series of high-powered sex vignettes including a couple of decadent orgies and couplings. The demons are revealed (we know they're demons because they're wearing red velvet capes!) including super sexy & smooth Alexy Tyler. It all takes place in a sparsely furnished dungeon-like setting (apparently the devil hasn't ever ob-tained the soul of an interior decorator) where Steve Cruz gets more sex than he bargained for. His ultimate fate? Well you'll have to see for yourself.

If you are a fan of sweat-drenched and de-personalized sex
Hotter Than Hell Part 2 is a buffet. There's no controversial kink here, just unbridled hard sex scenes. Here is where the story literally gets tossed aside as there's no real segue between the vignettes. But if you're viewing this for sex alone and not interested in the story, this is perfect. The story does rear its head at the end and it's got a good dramatic punchline but the impact hinges on the two stars of Steve Cruz and Ricky Sinz. Here is where Hotter Than Hell Part 2 manages to rise above its loose structure.

Steve Cruz and Ricky Sinz really are the ones who have to do the most work to carry Hotter Than Hell Part 2. The rest of the cast ably performs in their sex scenes but they aren't really there to do much else. Steve Cruz is consistently good as the sex-obsessed dude who has to run the gamut of emotions from cocky to scared to sex pig often using his eyes to convey these emotions. But the most convincing is Ricky Sinz as the tough-as-nails, all-powerful foul-mouthed devil. He delivers his lines with natural style and when he's trash-talking during sex, you can feel the fury. We got the impression that Sinz'  uninhibited style gave the rest of the cast their inspiration. It certainly made us want to go back and check out the rest of Ricky Sinz' films and look forward to his next one To The Last ManRaging Stallion Man of the Year? Yes, we can see that.
