Aaron Savvy In The Spoltlight Again

One of our faves Aaron Savvy popped up again on TV last Sunday on the preview episode of the new Fox competition-game show Hole In The Wall. We're assuming (and hoping) that this is not the TV series that Aaron hinted at when we conducted our interview with him awhile ago. It wasn't a horrific show, but it certainly wasn't what we were hoping to see Aaron Savvy appear in. Aaron had tried out for American Gladiators which seems like Jeopardy! compared to this latest exercise in mining Japanese TV for show ideas.
Yep, you guessed it. Like Wipeout on ABC, Hole In The Wall is based on a Japanese game-stunt show. In this one contestants are in two teams of three, dressed in silvery spandex and team-color hardhats and the face a moving wall which features a variety of cut-out shapes. The players have to bend and contort their bodies to match the shapes so that the wall passes through. If they don't succeed the wall sweeps them into a pool of water. It's not like the visually painful stunts of Wipeout or I Survived a Japanese Game Show but it does have the team trash-talkin' and lowball physical humor seen in shows like the defunct Dog Eat Dog (hosted by Brooke Burns who now co-hosts this one)
Aaron's team, the fitness-minded The Six Packs battled couch-potato dudes The Beer Bellies in the preview episode (another airs on Tuesday night before the premiere on Thursday, all featuring new teams). The guys should have looked spectacular in their form-fitting outfits but they were hardly flattering--although you could detect that Aaron Savvy is as ripped as ever. However, this was a team-effort so there simply wasn't enough air time for Aaron. In spite of the fact that The Six Packs won, we won't be seeing them again because each show features new teams. Will we be watching this TV show without Aaron Savvy on it? That would be NO.
