Massive Studio regular Jake Dakota

  Summer is winding down but the studios and websites we feature at Jack Manly are gearing up for fall and beyond with news of new productions, signings of hot performers, etc.  Keeping that in mind we've been busy looking at new releases from the studios, writing up new website reviews, revising a few reviews, getting ready for new sites, setting up for new interviews, restructuring our Amazon-based store, and adding new pages including a few portal pages with links to our individual site reviews and the many sites that we've featured and have talked about.  

 In the coming weeks we'll be highlighting websites that we've brought up before and have added to our review roster or revised. A few days ago we started off with the newly reviewed site Bound Gods and we're continuing with another freshly reviewed site Massive Studio. As you might recall, we've mentioned Massive Studio in several previous blog entries but haven't really gone into much detail.

  First, a little background history. As a company Massive Studio started out releasing full-length gay hardcore films on DVD with titles like Hard Cops. Hard Mechanics, Hard Surf, etc. They starred sexy, muscular, masculine, and well-known types like Zak Spears (one of our all-time faves), Parker Williams, Brad Star, Jason Ridge, and so on.  And as you can tell from the few titles we mentioned they feature plots with rugged blue collar types in sexual situations. After producing almost a dozen films, Massive Studio went into a new direction--the online video market. Massive Studio began producing short solo and duo videos exclusively for their website, featuring the same rugged masculine types from all corners of the porn world. 

 As of this writing there are almost 70 videos up at Massive Studio and for the most part they are not in the same mold of other online video sites. It's true that there are a lot of familiar faces here (including guys seen at other sites) but it's likely that you haven't seen them like this before.  As we said, the guys here at Massive Studio are put into more masculine and rugged sets, clothes, and situations and they are bound to put on a different persona. On other sites they may be these handsome, clean cut, almost beautiful men. Here they get a little more aggressive and rough around the edges. 

    

 For our critical eye we wish the videos were dated and that there was more variety in terms of video formats (right now they are all embedded flash videos) but Massive Studio is still an evolving site and this may change. Of course if enough members and interested parties get vocal about it, that possibility of change will seem more likely-----we have seen it happen on other sites. Then there's that Zak Spears fellow we mentioned. He's only appeared in one online video so far (and a very provocative one at that) and we suggest that Massive Studio make better use of the hairy chested, deep-voiced, muscle stud and his versatility.
