Jock Itch 2: The Review

One of the reasons we liked the Raging Stallion sex flick Jock Itch was because director and star Jake Deckard. had developed his own creative signature style in crafting his tribute to jock gear fetish. There was a distinctly energetic style to the way the film was directed and edited that was almost startling consider that many recent video releases from all companies have seemed sluggish and "by the book".  Nevertheless, we still approached Jock Itch 2: Balls To The Wall thinking that since this was a sequel we'd probably see more of the same thing. Wrong.

It may be true that the story of Jock Itch 2 picks up from where the original ended, but creatively Jake Deckard has opened up more and concocted a film that in many ways stands on its own merits. Of course the way the plot was set up, Jock Itch 2 allows more creativity because much of it is a supposed to be a very edgy surrealistic dream/fantasy taking place inside the head of an unconscious Jake (see part one for how THAT happened). And Deckard uses this to his advantage with sequences that could only take place IN a dream.  As with the first film the tone of the film is set from the very beginning over fast paced credits and a rapid-fire punk-rock score with a montage of preview footage. Virtually every sex sequence that follows has this same energetic, hard core style.

When you start watching the video you'll probably think "hey, I've seen this kind of scene before" and you'd be right when it comes to the premises of guys hooking up in the dugout, in the locker room, etc. But let things play out and you'll see something a little different. There's plenty of fetish wear from pants with a zipper up the crack, vinyl wear, gym equipment used as sex toys, etc. And as we said most of it transpires in a fast paced style. It's all done with the idea that these jocks are raging with overactive hormones (that is, within the sex dream of Jake Deckard)

Only at the end does the fantasy end when Jake is woken up by Dominic Sol for a much more slowed down and semi-romantic sex sequence. This serves as a reminder of why we LOVE that sexy Jake Deckard--he can do romantic and sexy dirty at the same time.

As for the rest of the cast Aitor Crash seems to dominate each of his two scenes differently. With Damian Rios he's a sexed up baseball player who easily gets the best of his partner. With Tober Brandt he's just as dynamic but he's playing against a less submissive partner. This little wrestling tussle may be the audience favorite.  Jon Matthews solo scene (with a jock strap) is steamy enough but it would have been interesting to see him with a partner. As for Steve Cruz and Cory Koons their "pitcher/catcher" fling is hot but for some reason we just couldn't picture them as baseball players.

Finally it may be hard for Jake Deckard to direct himself in a film but he should give himself more scenes. We liked all the guys in Jock Itch 2 but we want more Jake Deckard.
