News Round-Up

                                                         Leighton Stultz' site debuts

This has been a busy week of news aside from all the buzz over Leo Giamani -- buzz to which we did our fair share of contributing. There are some of you that are probably asking what all the fuss is about just as there are many who have seen his work at
Jake Cruise, Randy Blue, Massive Studios, and especially Mighty Men who think that the chatter has been justified. Time will tell.

There was also the news about the University of Nebraska wrestlers who were found to have appeared at
FratMen and were subsequently dismissed from the team. The guys apparently didn't know they were breaking any violations and frankly the way they were treated was a bit heavy-handed. Our final word on this (for now) was inspired by Jasun from FratMen who let us know it's his policy to not reveal the real identities of his models. But he realizes that this was news and he couldn't keep people from discussing or blogging. Since we know Jasun as a genuinely nice guy and straight-up one at that we're complying with his request not to use the names of the two guys as they appear on the site or their gallery pics. We hope this helps everyone concerned.

 Now on to the news.

Leighton Stultz, the fitness model we first saw at
Connex247 (great site, by the way for those who like eye candy) and who revealed all in Playgirl in June of 2007 (and he had a lot to reveal!) has launched his own site LeightonStultz.com. Like Flex Coleman (aka Jason Borish) and XL Muscle (aka Delro) both of whom featured prominently at Connex247, LeightonStultz.com features videos, galleries, live chats, etc. We'll have a review posted up of the site very soon.

Here's a video preview of the site:

Black Scorpion Entertainment has launched a new line Black Rat (lovely) that will feature all-sex content in contrast to its regular line of plot-oriented flicks. In conjunction with this Black Scorpion has also announced a contest to name the new line's mascot--"Name That Rat". The premise of the contest is to give the character (pictured above) it's name and personality. There's no limit to the number of entries you can submit but the deadline is September 30. E-mail your suggestions at the Black Scorpion site. The winner will receive ALL six Black Scorpion DVDs (Dreams of Rafael, Obsession of D.O., Man Island, Hunger, Cuma Sutra, and the upcoming Sex Hiker) as well as the first Black Rat DVD Sex Sessions.

Active Duty, the website that features military dudes (as well as former recruits and guest stars like Mason Wyler) has added My Straight Buddy to its roster of free sites available to its members. Active members already have access to the content of
Dirty Bird Pictures, home of Brent Corrigan videos and hits like The Porn Ultimatum. In addition members also get free access to mega-hung Barrett Long's www.xxxamateurhour.com. This one features Long in videos and live shows along with an assortment of hotties. My Straight Buddy was started by a fan of Active Duty and features videos of his buddies. The guys is also formerly in the military so many of his models are his buds from the service. Obviously this fits right into the Active Duty theme that has proved successful for site owner Dink Flamingo.

Finally, we have an update on the sudden death of adult star Cole Ryder who was only 36 at the time of his passing on July 30. As you recall, we reported at the beginning of August that the cause of death of unclear and that we'd wait until the autopsy report was released before following up. The initial report is that the immediate cause was congestive heart failure and that Ryder had severe hereditary hardening of the arteries which could lead to heart attack, stroke, or aneurysm. He died in his sleep but could possibly have been ill for a few days since he was "surrounded by loved ones" at the time of his passing.

Cole Ryder had been an exclusive to Rascal Video since 2006 and he appeared in nine films (two more are still in post-production). He was also very well liked as evidenced by the outpouring of compliments and fond remembrances from those who knew him. He loved animals was very active in HIV fundraising, especially
The Life Group LA . Whatever the cause of his death (the final report is forthcoming) it's very clear that Cole Ryder will be missed by his friends and fans.
