Summer of Lust: Titan Media
Continuing our series of reviews of recent video releases we now take a look at Titan Media. It's been an interesting year for this big company and it looks like there are some intriguing films on the horizon. As with our other recent reviews, we haven't seen them all but we are providing some general info to give you a better idea of what to expect from given films. Here, an asterisk* denotes a film we haven't yet seen.
Warehouse *
It's not much of a stretch to detect the friendly rivalry between Titan Media and Raging Stallion that often pops up when we see them both put out films with a similar theme, plot or setting. As far as we're concerned the more the merrier---especially if it works. Warehouse is a non-plot video featuring a series of sex encounters that take place in the title location. If this sounds like the The 4th Floor you'd be correct. Warehouse is jam-packed with sexy stars including the popular and sexy Dean Flynn and Damien Crosse. Lots of fetish action here too including some bondage and water sports.
Folsom Prison
We've already reviewed this blockbuster here at the blog (Folsom Prison Blues) and we've let some of it sink in since we critiqued it. Although not very plot heavy, the sex here is rough and raunchy befitting its setting. Again, lots of fetish material here so if it's not your thing this may be a bit of an eye-opener for you.
Chainsaw
Titan can always rely on veteran director Joe Gage to turn out a great video. The versatile director has a way of infusing his style into any plot or setting and makes it seem as though it's never been done before. Chainsaw takes place in the tried & true rural setting and follows loggers as they get it on and get off with each other in the raw manly wilds. What works here is that although there is a loose plot it doesn't overpower the action. All you really need is a little background info and you're good to go. Don't be frightened by the title either. Although the backdrop for this movie is a logging camp there's no danger of any serial killer jumping out of nowhere and menacing any of the horned-up and naked studs.
P.O.V.
The star of this film is a video camera, a silent witness and catalyst for a series of outdoor sexual encounters between sexy men. It's actually an interesting premise that doesn't need as much plot exposition as it gets but once it gets going P.O.V.
Telescope
A telescope is usually used at night and can sometimes capture shooting stars. In this video it's used during the day and the telescope is REALLY used to capture "shooting stars". We found Telescope to be a happy surprise--a diverse and satisfying mix of an interesting plot with casting twists, hot sex scenes and great photography. Star Diesel Washington plays a wealthy businessmen who lives in an elegant high-rise SF apartment with a terrace--where he uses a telescope to get a look at the sexual encounters of various horned up male citizens. First, nice change of pace to put the rugged Washington in this role of a well-to-do voyeur. He even has a horned up chauffeur who plays a big role later on. Washington first spies a park-side bus stop hook-up between Francois Sagat & Damien Crosse who take their lustful urges into the woods of the park. Obviously they're not worried at all about getting caught because they go full force and get downright kinky. Washington turns his attention to another apartment where the voyeur finds his match--an exhibitionist played by Rick Van Sant. The guys gets caught by his boyfriend (Andrew Justice)who is slightly peeved but turned on to the point of getting it on with him in a very hot flip-flop sex scene. The hottest scene in the film takes place when Washington calls up his surprisingly scruffy chauffeur to chastise him for taking the car out for his own personal use. The payback? Yep, you guessed it accented Steven Ponce must satisfy his boss. First there's an huge height differential between the two which is used to good effect. After first sucking each other and Washington topping his chauffeur, they go for round two. Ponce shows obvious delight at being manhandled and Washington takes it up a notch by doing to him in mid-air. Very intense scene to be sure. If you've seen Diesel Washington perform before, you know he is hard-driving top and he gives it 100% here. The second disc of this flick features more spying by Washington on a hot garage three-way then a "reunion" scene with Washington and Van Sant. Van Sant is a security guard involved in some stolen goods deal with Washington (don't bother trying to figure it out, it's not important) Until this point Van Sant wasn't aware that Washington had been spying on him. Well naturally this turns both on to the point of getting it on in this warehouse where they're conducting business. Alex Baresi (someone who works in the building) watches from the shadows and gets invited to join in. This turns into a double-kink fest for fist-philes and foot fetishists---definitely not for the uninitiated. If this isn't your thing you might go for the regular cu of the film.
