Class Comics Redux

Last year as a fledgling website we were honored to obtain an interview with Patrick Fillion, the very talented gay erotic comic book artist and publisher of Class Comics. Being comic book fans and having a professional connection with the mainstream comic book industry we already knew of Patrick Fillion so we knew he would be a perfect fit for Jack Manly.vice versa. But, he had recently closed a deal for his books to be sold to comic book stores through the largest distributor in the US so we knew that he could easily have viewed an interview with an unknown website as unnecessary. That was not the case at all.  Patrick Fillion graciously agreed without hesitation and couldn't have been nicer about answering every question without pretense and full of sincerity and wit. On a personal note I, your faithful Jack Manly blogger, was touched by Patrick's kind words after telling him about the very hard times in my life. Promoting Class Comics was something that we looked forward to doing here, but it became an honor after getting to know this gifted young man.

At the time of that interview Class Comics was in the progress of expanding, adding more artists and comics and this took much of Fillion's time and efforts. Well, these efforts have paid off big time professionally and creatively. There's a great deal of quality international product now available at Class Comics and we are even more impressed with the breadth of talent. You don't even have to be a fan of comic or erotic art to appreciate what we think it pretty hot stuff. And there's more to come.

Class Comics has also redesigned and revamped its site and it provides a beautiful showcase for the publications it sells. Apparently Patrick Fillion and his partner Fraser had been thinking about this redesign for awhile because they wanted fans to get more info. That's why the new Class Comics website has new features such as animations, wallpaper designs, characters bios, and more details about all the books and creators. If you're not impressed after you view the site we'd be very surprised.

Boytoons Magazine ("the NEW online home of homo art") is the blog Patrick Fillion maintains and it also offers some more information about the Class Comics relaunch. Fillion himself says:

"One of my favorite parts of the new site is the Video Vault section.  There are currently 3 brand new trailers in that section, and we plan to add more shortly.  Class has been working with a company overseas to make them, and the results so far are really exciting.  The videos show you the books in a whole new light.  Currently you can view video trailers for Zahn #1, Guardians of the Cube #5 and The Initiation #1."

As far as we're concerned it's all good but we have to admit we favor ANYTHING that Patrick Fillion conjures up out of his sexy imagination. Zahn is as joyfully kinky as it is imaginative in story and eroticism.
Of course, you don't have to take OUT word for it so do check out the online store. There are always big specials, grab bags, etc to be had. By all means treat yourself to a visit to Class Comics.
