Men of Bravo part 2

Winner Cody Green                                                                   Near-winner Nick Drago

Last Thursday our favorite Cody Green was declared the winner of Bravo's first season of Step It Up & Dance. Oh sure we admit we were smitten with the sexy dancer but he definitely deserved to winner as well. In the finale his talent, his personality, and the music all worked in perfect sync. It's no wonder that aside from winning this reality show prize he's also a working dancer.

As we mentioned previously,  Cody Green and his fellow finalist Nick Drago have joined our growing pantheon of our favorite Bravo hunks and both are in that unique class of having made it to the finals. With that in mind it's time for our "Men of Bravo" faves list.

 PROJECT RUNWAY

It's true that this show probably features the highest percentage of gay contestants but the eye candy hasn't exactly kept up. However, there have been a few that made us take notice.

Nick Verreos. (season 2). Greek sexiness personified.
Rami Kashou (season 4). Admit it--you imagined him naked.
Jack Mackenroth (season 4). The hunkiest contestant yet.
Kevin Christiana (season 4). Yes, we know he's straight but you can't deny his sex appeal!

 TOP CHEF
We've seen that chefs can be much more temperamental than clothing designers and the male chefs (gay & straight) turn into alpha dogs when they get critiqued.

Cliff Crooks. (season 2) The big strapping stud was pretty low-key until the "incident" with wimpy Marcel.
Sam Talbot.  (season 2 )Tall, sexy, serious and totally kissable lips.
Ilan Hall (season 2)Sexy metrosexual str8 dude with geeky charm and sweetness.
Dale Levitsky (season 3) He grew on us and on Jack Mackenroth (they're dating)
Brian Malarkey (season 3). Total babe although he needed discipline.
Tre Wilcox. (season 3) Another big & beefy stud who was a sweetheart too.
Spike Mendelsohn. (season 4) Yes, total doofus but how we wanted to make him over!

 MAKE ME A SUPER MODEL.
Do we really have to go over this list of hotties? Nearly all the guys would be on this list. Besides you can check on our past blogs to know who WE thought was the winner-- Ronnie Kroell. We still have a hard time figuring out his "bromance" guy Ben DiChiara but we'll include him too.

Clockwise (from top left)--Ronnie, Anthony, Brandon & Ben

 FLIPPING OUT.
No, not OCD poster child Jeff Lewis. We like Chris Elwood, the goofy-sexy assistant (we just know he would let a guy blow him) and Ryan Brown, Jeff's ex (smart move) and business partner ('nuff said!)

  BLOW OUT.

No, no, no. We refuse to put straight (?) drama queen  Jonathan Antin on our list. His gay brother actor Steve is MUCH cuter. And ANY of his stylists could make the list including cocky str8 dude Brandon Martinez. Face it he's sexy. And he's getting his own show too (a special).

  SHEAR GENIUS.

It's too soon to make any calls about season 2, but season one's winner Anthony Morrison was a total stud. We're a little biased here because we knew him even before the show was filmed. He's handsome, charming, well-built and a doll. You may even see him on Bravo's A-List Awards this Thursday. Anthony did the hair of host Kathy Griffin' and may appear in a scene with her.

Fitness Hunks (clockwise from top) Greg , Bobby, JD, Doug, Brian

  WORK OUT.

Aside from all the lesbian melodrama, we do get a nice dose of eye candy here.

Brian Peeler. Yes, we like his Chris Daughtry sexiness.
Doug Blaisdell. Complications from cancer treatment may have cut his life short but he was simply the sexiest and sweetest man on and off screen.
JD Jordan. Gay & muscular masseur turned trainer.
Greg Plitt. Ripped, ex-military physiwue model. Need we say more?

Flipping Out's Chris (left ) & Ryan (middle  could use the steady calmness of Todd Oldham

TOP DESIGN. None of the contestants got us hot & bothered but we think that host and designer Todd Oldham is super sexy. He's not super-built, but his talent and charm are a turn on no matter how you look at it.

We also need to give special mention to guest stars and judges that made us tune in.

Bobby Solorio, the sexy built personal trainer to Kathy Griffin.
Rocco Di Spirito. Guest judge on Top Chef. Serve it up!

Then there are those defunct and almost forgotten shows from Bravo's early attempts at reality shows. Manhunt was the male version of America's Next Top Model. Boy Meets Boy was the gay version of The Bachelor. Where these shows went wrong was with their unnecessary " twists". Manhunt had a ringer in the models' midst. Boy Meets Boy threw in a straight guy (bad move Bravo!) We won't be covering these two shows here because we're working on a "where are they now?" blog entry. You'll be surprised to see what we found out about the guys from here.
