Triple Threat!: The Update

A few weeks ago on this blog (Triple Threat!) we mentioned that the Visconti Triplets who had recently signed with Elite Male were also getting their own website on June 1 courtesy of the same company that handles Next Door Studios, Male Digital, and Bi-Sex Digital. We also reported on the rumor floating around that these Euro-studs were not really triplets but a set of twins and another brother. Since then we've gotten some updates and a quashing of that rumor.

Brotherhood Secrets, The Visconti Triplets' first DVD with Elite Male, will be released on June 1, the same day as the launch of their site (good timing, eh?). The plot? The unsuspecting brothers play models who fall prey to a devious photographer out to seduce them (we're sure photographers aren't going to like this portrayal!). You can learn more about the film by visiting the Viscontis' official blog. Also there you'll get hints as to how to tell the identical triplets apart (we're so glad!).

And yes, Joey, Jimmy and Jason are identical triplets.  We have gotten official confirmation from the company that's handling their website. They reiterate that no sets of identical twins and triplets are completely identical physically and they point out different "anatomical" features to prove their point. Naturally we at Jack Manly have no reason to doubt the veracity of the company, but we figured that many of you do. So, in the interest of helping out the Viscontis (and providing knowledge to our readers) we have the scientific explanation--it all lies in the nature of DNA:

Identical twins have the same genotype or DNA but they have different phenotypes--or the way DNA expresses itself in fingerprints and other physical characteristics. It all has to do with unique genetic interaction. So if a gutsy production assistant on the set of the triplets' films happened to take semen samples of all three he could (theoretically) prove without a doubt that they were identical triplets.

Here's something even more complex to ponder. Identical triplets are a rarity. So, the triplets could be the result of polyzygotic birth. They could all have been born at the same time but two could be twins and one their fraternal twin. Technically they'd still be triplets. We guess a birth certificate might help sort this out too.

Hmm--the meeting of science and erotica. Who would ever think that possible?
