  We run across some interesting tidbits of information that by themselves don't really warrant an entire blog entry. Oh sure, we'll include these little nuggets within the contents of a related piece, but sometimes we'll just like to Sometimes we include them in larger blog entries that have a related person or theme. Then there times, like now, when we come across more than a few miscellaneous morsels that we just prefer to share all at once. 

 Before the gay adult awards scene climaxes (we just HAD to use that word) with the Grabbys later this month we need to mention one awards presentation that we have previously neglected---The Hookies. Yes, these are awards for escorts and the second annual show recently took place in Hollywood. How is this related you ask? Well as shocking as it sounds (note the sarcasm) these awards sponsored by RentBoy.com feature quite a few adult performers among the winners. Among the highlights:

 --Best Fetish Escort was the large and aggressive Diesel Washington who has become a standout at Titan.
His recent film Telescope is a must-see if you want to catch this guy doing some eye-opening stunts. What's surprising here with this award is that he won over Jake Deckard.

--Best Porn Star Escort was Arpad Miklos who has done quite a few films and from what we read has got a reputation as a very nice guy (we do report good gossip too you know)

--Best Escort Website was Club Dean hosted by Dean Coxx. Dean's the guy who arguably was the most popular dude at Straight College Men and went on to do work for Manifest Men

--Biggest Dick went to Barrett Long, who's appeared in quite a few videos and sites. By the way, they might reconsider renaming this award. We know it refers to endowment, but in this political year it can mean so much more.

 Another Randy Blue model is going to make a crossover in a studio production---Tyler Johnson is currently filming Trunks 5 for Hot House.  This list of crossover guys is growing at Randy Blue. If you remember our blog entry on the subject a few months back we found over 30 guys who went from Randy Blue to studio films and vice versa. In fact lately you've probably more studio studs who've appeared on adult websites. Interestingly when he was introduced last year Tyler Johnson mentioned in his bio that he had always wanted to do porn. Coincidentally this week at Randy Blue Tyler is featured in a video with Colby Keller another crossover talent. You may recall one "memorable scene" in the Titan film Lifeguard where Colby plays a nervous bridegroom who gets seduced by his prospective father-in-law.

 Speaking of Titan, the studio is giving their recent hit Breakers the high-def treatment. Titan will be releasing it in Blu-ray format joining Raging Stallion which went Blu-ray with its mega-hit Grunts. And while we're on the subject of Titan, anyone else notice that they've been doing a lot of outdoor and rural themes in films like Chainsaw, P.O.V., Men's Room III, Breakers, etc. It seems that this has been a successful setting for the company.

  Finally, often we are in the right place at the right time to be able to report on some sightings. Koo Koo Roo is a local LA restaurant chain that's been serving healthy chicken dishes for several years now and the Weho location been a busy hub in this chain. You'll always find a diverse cross-section of residents dining here or getting take-out no matter how busy it is (or isn't). It's also been an interesting "meet and great" place and we've seen our share in the past few weeks. One of the Saturday afternoon regulars has been Derrick Vinyard whose look has change a bit over the years ever since he was a Falcon discovery featured in flicks like Cross Country and Up All Night. The tattooed guy first said he was straight then revised it to bisexual after a run of gay sex flicks (including bottoming for Jason Adonis in From Top To Bottom. He even retired temporarily less than a year after starting out (we've got an upcoming blog on other "retirees"). You can see him in recent appearances at Cocky Boys (as well as at Koo Koo Roo).

 On a recent afternoon jaunt with friends to Koo Koo Roo we had two sightings at the same time. Quentin Elias was there dining and chatting up with a big fellow muscle dude. Dance music stud Elias was in LA for the play Whatever Happened to Norman Desmond? (a gay version of Sunset Boulevard) and apparently is sticking around (maybe for the film role he's supposed to do in August?) Or maybe, he's going to do a return visit to LA-based website Randy Blue where he performed two solo videos as Q.

 At the same time (at another table) we saw Cole Ryder (Link V: The Evolution and others) who was dining alone but caught the eye of a sexy fellow patron. They chatted briefly and exchanged info so who knows, maybe we saw a love connection in progress! We're sure that the upsurge of sexy men at Koo Koo Roo hasn't been lost on the management--they've recently upped the cute guy quotient at the counter.
