Raging Stallion Races Ahead
It goes without saying that when the hot summer rolls around, the gay adult studios and video sites turn up the heat even more with new performers, milestones, elaborate productions, etc. In short in gets very competitive. With that in mind we'll be doing our best to keep you up to date on the news as it develops.
When it comes to this heated competition, Raging Stallion is one of those studios that's constantly raising the bar----even before summer arrives. Within the last week alone, Raging Stallion has made several announcements that are sure to be seen as a sign of what to expect this year.
In March Raging Stallion was the first adult studio to release a title in the high definition Blu-ray format. Their multiple award-winning Grunts was the first to get the treatment and it didn't happen without some serious marketing research. Blu-ray technology is pricier than HD-DVD, but Raging Stallion waited until the mainstream studios made their decision on the high-def format wars. When it was clear that Blu-ray was going to be the format of choice, Raging Stallion forged ahead. Raging Stallion was also careful to release an edition of Grunts that featured both regular DVD and Blu-ray versions. That should satisfy those that want the movie and want to see it now even though they haven't yet purchased a Blu-ray player. We're still waiting to see whether this gamble is going to pay off for the studio.
Now we all know how huge the Raging Stallion company is and this week it got even bigger. It's purchased a legendary European production company, High Octane, which will now be featured under the Raging Stallion banner. Aside from the High Octane archive of over 50 films this production contract will include new releases per year. In fact, High Octane's next feature Masters and Servants (all we can think of is the Depeche Mode song) will be released on June 13. High Octane director Herve Bodilis (Herve Handsome) will still remain as production head. This should really boost the number of films in the Raging Stallion library.
Raging Stallion has also announced yet another new imprint--FetishForce.com. A few months ago superstar Jake Deckard launched his own kink-themed line Screaming Eagle XXX (which included Ink Storm and Jock Itch) but Raging Stallion's newest line will make this tame by comparison. FetishForce.com "contains hardcore stuff that is going to freak out even the most jaded porn viewer." And we believe it! The first film is titled Hardcore Fetish Series: Sounding #1. As the press release says it "is not for the faint of heart. Indeed, it is so shocking that guys are going to watch it because they will not be able to turn away!" If you're unfamiliar with "sounding" we suggest you look it up--we're a little squeamish about it ourselves. That said, it will be interesting to see Raging Stallion make another gamble with FetishForce.com. There is definitely an audience for this material that's only been touched on infrequently by the major studios. Sure you can find plenty of CBT and TT themes (again, look it up) in the smaller strict bondage and fetish video companies but for Raging Stallion to go for it is news. Of course longtime fans will recall that Zeus Studios specialized in this heavy-duty kink material well before joining forces with Raging Stallion.
