  We're slightly conflicted over the Bravo TV show Step It Up And Dance. It's not that we've haven't enjoyed watching it because we certainly have. It's got all the tear-stained drama and excitement of the best of the Bravo reality/competition shows. But writing a blog about the show has proved difficult because it's hard for us to be objective. Oh sure we love the gay drama we've seen but we are smitten with sexually ambiguous Cody Green, the talented Canadian-born contestant who has been dancing since he was a child and has appeared in several Broadway productions.  With his Gene Kelly-like athletic style, and a handsome face reminiscent of Christian Bale we've had Cody on the top of our favorite list since the beginning.

  Cody is yet another in a run of sexy men (gay, straight, or whatever) that Bravo has bestowed on us over the years as a way of acknowledging the fact the network has a loyal gay following. You won't just find these guys  as contestants on the competition shows---they're also very prominent in the "day in the life" reality shows also found at Bravo. So we've decided to do a multi-part tribute (in no particular order) to our favorite guys who've appeared in several years' of Bravo programming and who have added extra visual appeal to our lives as Bravo TV watchers.
                

 This time out we'll be talking about Cody AND Nick, his self-confessed straight fellow contestant who shared some "intimate" moments in bed in the most recent episode. While this was a sexy scene it also may have diminished our hopes that Cody might be gay. It doesn't diminish our hopes that Cody will win at all nor does it diminish our opinion that he is very talented.

  The first competition in last night's episode took place in a mattress store where dancers were paired up and had to do a dance routine with the bed as a prop. It was all a part of the theme of last night's episode---how to tell a story with body movement. Who better than to be a judge than a choreographer for Cirque de Soleil?
Cody & Nick were paired up and they were instructed to act like lovers. It involved some "provocative" sexual positions and movements and the two guys got kudos for their performance. In their on-camera commentary they both explained a little nervousness about doing such a scene--the kind of squeamishness reserved for two straight dudes. Now, Nick WAS a little more vocal about his straightness, but we also got the feeling that Cody 
was signaling his sexuality too.  Of course he might be bisexual like the dancer that was eliminated last night---Michael.

 As for Michael Silas, the Houston (via Germany & NY) dancer managed to make it through without his gay porn past creating any problems (as far as we know)---the amply endowed dude previously appeared at LatinBoyz.com.  It's not exactly a trend but there have been several guys cast in reality shows lately that have a porn past. Rodrigo on Janice Dickinson, James on Big Brother 9, Alex Castro on American Gladiators are just a few. Either the question isn't on the application or these guys are fibbing or the producers aren't checking up on the contestants backgrounds or just maybe it doesn't make a difference to anyone. Wouldn't THAT be nice. Plus that kind of free publicity is good for ratings!

 Nick Drago may not have a porn past but he's definitely got universal sex appeal. A little rough around the edges, this Texas & Oklahoma dude lives in LA now and one of his specialties is tap dancing. He's been on the bubble a few times in this competition but has toughed it out throughout. Yes, there's an endearing quality to this tough guy's persona and we'd be happy if he won too.
