Blue Planet

For those of you who visit this blog or Jack Manly or any other site or blog whose theme is "male erotica' (like the way we gently put it?) it's very clear that Randy Blue is a major force in this business. Whether it's quality and quantity of content, superstar models or good old-fashioned marketing skills we can always count on Randy Blue to keep the site interesting and provocative.  Not to be outdone by film studios hiring guys from amateur sites Randy Blue has raised the bar and successfully competed with the big studios. And it looks like this year Randy Blue is raising the stakes.

This is not a new concept to Randy Blue. In the past (as we've mentioned here) the site has produced videos that can hardly be called amateur. The Coach   , Slip-n-Slide It In,  Chris vs Reese, and A Taste of Blue (among others) are more like mini-movies whose production values rank up there with studio productions. And we can expect to see more in the coming weeks:

--We've learned that there will be a video set in a gym featuring Blake Riley and Brent Diggs

--The star of  most of the "story-driven" Randy Blue and one of our faves Chris Rockway appears in a cop interrogation scene (he plays one of the detectives) three other performers

--A military type bunker scene (possibly related to the preceding scene) features Reese Rideout and Derrek Diamond.

We should also mention again that Randy Blue recently scored a coup by getting music dance star and model Quentin Elias to appear in two solo videos as the mysterious Q. Interestingly (and curiously) the site didn't do a lot of publicity about this. It wasn't as though Quentin Elias wouldn't be recognized anyway and he wasn't trying to keep it hush-hush. In fact, he's said in an interview that he was very pleased with the professionalism at Randy Blue. He's also made good use of the publicity to promote his song "Fever" from his album Love Confusion. You can hear it hear at his MySpace page. Elias also mentioned he's going to be in LA in April in a stage production "Whatever Happened to Norman Desmond?".  It's a gay "re-imagining" of film classic Sunset Boulevard and he's playing Joe (the William Holden writer character). And he's got a movie role in August.
So we guess that old rule that doing porn would ruin a career is not so iron clad any more.
