GayVN Awards: And The Winners Are...

The milestone 10th Annual GayVN Awards were handed out in a semi-glitzy show held at the Gift Center in San Francisco last night February 16 and we're here to report the winners. The show itself was slightly scaled down from last year, but there were plenty of stars on hand to hand out the awards.

The awards show itself started out late by twenty minutes (after all this is a GAY event!) Diva director Chi Chi Larue introduced guest performer Lady Bunny who sang a pleasant ditty "All That Jizz". Then the hosts, Derek & Romaine (from Sirius Radio) took to the stage and the show finally began.

Here are the winners in order :

As you can see the big winner was GRUNTS from Raging Stallion with 9 awards (did the judges really sit through ALL those discs?). Gigolo got shut out, but Lucas Entertainment's The Intern did pick up four awards. Chi Chi Larue did pretty well with six awards for Link: The Evolution.

Interesting to note that Randy Blue's own Blake Riley won for Best Newcomer. Another alum (although he's done work for many studios) who won in Best Threesome was Nickolay Petrov. Unfortunately he's been arrested for attempted murder so he was a no-show. We do have to wonder what the audience reaction was to his win.

And oh that Jake Deckard. Is there anyone else like him? Congrats to him on his two awards.

We'll have more analysis on a future blog.
