Janice Dickinson: What Happens in Vegas....
Oh My God! They're gay??!!
As it turns out we were wrong in assuming that the newest edition of Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency would be the season finale and we couldn't be happier. After all there's lots to resolve---not just with the storylines that are ongoing but also with the storylines that never really emerged.
The main plot of "Las Vegas or Bust" concerned a big runway show in Sin City but the simmering feud between Janice and her partner Peter, romantic entanglements between the models, and some other tensions were the driving force behind the surprisingly fast-paced show.
Frankly we were hoping that the problems between Janice and her business partner Peter would finally get resolved one way or the other in this episode. It seemed that Peter was in the wrong here with his withholding booking info and his inability to resolve the conflict between the 2(x)ist and Ed Hardy runway shows at Project Las Vegas. He's either trying to sabotage Janice or himself and his "I've got the know how, you've got the name"
(see I Love Lucy for THAT reference) attitude may not carry him through. At the end of the show, Janice gathered her models for a portentous "things are about to change" speech that may or may not resolve this whole conflict. It could also be about under performing models getting the boot from Janice.
And she sure would have reason to get rid of a few. Desiree for one has the most stereotypical stuck-up model attitude that BEGS for her to get her anemia-tainted ass kicked out the door (by the way-anemic? Where did she get that one?) She avoided socializing with the models and patently refused to show up on time for the Ed Hardy sponsored party. Boot her out!

Dominic dominates while Janice's son Nathan steps up
On the other hand, Dominic, who was the only model booked for the 2(x)ist show, wows us every time he appears on screen. Yeah, we know he's straight but he's definitely the got the goods. Now we know Kehoe keeps insisting he's straight but we just aren't buying it. He took out Traci for a romantic picnic that may have wowed her but seemed so devoid of sexual tension as to look like something out a shampoo commercial. It didn't help his cause to look like a heartbroken school girl when Traci told him she had dated marble-mouthed Nathan, Janice's son. Then there's his response to the whole discussion on the official JDMA message board.
Oxygen: Kehoe, are you gay?
Kehoe: In regards to the message boards here is my response: In the words of Oscar Wilde, "The only thing worse than being talked about, is NOT being talked about."
Oxygen: That was vague. Can you confirm or deny the rumors?
Kehoe: My last response is my response
HUH? Oscar Wilde? Kehoe, please. And why is your "roommate" Grant no longer featured on the show's website? Hmm? Kehoe? What's the deal?
Speaking of Nathan Fields, Janice's son he stepped up to gently chastise and warn Desiree abouther behavior. Maybe we're reading more into this but are we seeing the ascension of Nathan as Janice's new business partner?
Then there's JP. He got quite a bit of screen time last night because of his self-created drama. Off camera he's decided not to pursue dating with Rodrigo. It would have helped matters if he had told this to Rodrigo. Instead, Rodrigo is left confused and JP has been going the avoidance route--ouch! It was a bit funny to see Rodrigo pour out his heart to mini-Janice, CC, not because of what he said but because she was completely clueless about JP's sexuality. Sounds like a perfect match for Kehoe! We understand that JP is pretty knew to the whole gay thing and not ready for a relationship as he says. But he might help himself out of similar dilemmas by telling guys this BEFORE he smooches them up. There was also an odd scene with 18-year old southern boy Payton. First, there was a hint (just a hint, mind you) that Payton might be gay, and it seemed as though JP
was presenting himself as a mentor. Was that all there was to it? We'll see.
Kehoe and Payton---gay, straight or taken?
Naturally, this IS the Janice Dickinson show so we can't avoid talking about the star. You gotta love her big-hearted protective nature. She wanted her models to have fun in Vegas, but also wanted them to avoid drinking--for their sakes. The obvious reason was that she didn't want them to be hung over and bloated for their runway show. But she was also concerned about them turning into alcoholics. You may have issue with Janice's tactics, but her intentions are definitely honorable. Aside from all the fun and frolicking there was runway show and the Ed Hardy theme was Mad Max inspired clothing (side note here---ugly stuff) But Janice's eyes puddled up like a proud mama cheering on her kids at a school pageant. It might have been for show, but it was effective in showing Janice at her heartfelt best.
That leaves us back to where the episode started---Janice's shaky relationship with her partner Peter Hamm. Will Janice announce the dissolution of the partnership? Will Janice show some models the door? And what happens when Janiceand company take a trip to Miami? Will we FINALLY see a story develop with the Florida-based boyrfriend models Shaun and Paul? Stay tuned!
