A Different World
Isn't it interesting to see that the world of porn and male erotica isn't so segregated from the rest of pop culture as it used to be? There was a time when such a crossover was highly unlikely or at least kept secret. We're not willing to say that porn or male pornsters have gained more acceptance as much as perhaps being a matter of the rest of the world just getting used to the whole thing.
Awhile ago fashion and lifestyle photographer Joe Oppedisano did an extraordinary book of photography Testosterone. It featured dimly lit and rich portraits of men against the backdrops of very raw masculine, sweaty and dirty situations. In addition he released two calendars with that same gritty photography, Rebel and Athletes.
You've probably seen his work on the overs and in stuning layouts inmagazines like Genre, MR, OUT, Gay Times, etc. His work is boldly homoerotic and he has even worked with Michael Lucas, taking pics of the actors from La Dolce Vita.
