"You're either IN or your OUT."  Sound familiar?  Well, the latest edition of Project Runway proves that you can be both "in" AND "out."  That's right, Project Runway Season 4 (Wow! Is this only the 4th season?  It feels like a way of life!) is set to start on November 14th and we're happy to report that not only do we have the bitchy drama and the intense competition to look forward to, we've got 4 out gay contestants. 

 

  But the one we at Jack Manly have our eyes on is Jack Mackenroth, a hot hunky designer who could easily be featured on the cover of anything from Men's Vogue to Men Magazine!  Jack Manly....uh... Jack Mackenroth hails from Seattle and his bio tells us that he's 38, an athletic 3-time All American winning swimmer, HIV positive and SINGLE! Ding Ding Ding Ding!! With a double major in Fine Arts and Sociology from the University of Berkley and having studied at Parsons School of Design, this guy's got the brains to go with the looks.  And apparently a heart of gold. (Runway's Tim Gunn has already commented that he's an enjoyable presence on the show, saying, ''He's charismatic, funny, and incredibly likable.'')

 

  Poz since 1990, Jack has worked to combat the stigma of HIV by doing his best to be a role model through diligent work on his professional and athletic achievements, and his charitable endeavors.  He worked as a model throughout the 90's appearing in publications such as Men's Fitness, Men's Journal, Genre and Blue.  Jack continues to compete at the most elite level of swimming competition.  (Jack Jack Jack!  That sure is a lot of Jack-ing in this blog entry!)  To find out more about this hunky design contestant, check out his website www.jackmackenroth.com for photos,  portfolios, video and blog entries. There's also his MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/jackmackenroth.
