X-Files Returns
Remember the phrase "the truth is out there" ? Well you may be hearing it again next summer when the long -awaited, long-delayed, as-yet-untitled X-Files sequel is released.
Yes. You read correctly. Over 5 years after it left the air, the cult TV favorite X-Files is returning in the form of a major motion picture from Fox that begins prodiction this December. The stand-alone sequel will star Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny returning to their roles as FBI agents Scully and Mulder.
Chris Carter, the show's creator has insisted thatthe hush-hush script will be a supernatural thriller, staying away from the conspiracy-themed stories that permeated much of the story arcs on the series and the first movie.
Of course we're wondering where the story takes place in the show's checkered continuity. After all when the series ended Scully and Mulder were rarely seen and the stories involved two other agents (male & female).
We'll see if Carter and company can pick up the pieces and put the franchse back together again.
