Lipstick Lesbians & Trannies Beware!
Once again that dreaded element lead is making the news. Not too long along lead was found in painted toys being manufactured in China and now it's turning up in the cosmetic staple lipstick. According to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (yes such a consumer group DOES exist), approximately 60% of name brand lipsticks were found to have traceable amounts of lead.
While our friends at the not-so swift FDA are investigating this lead claim, the Cosmetic Toiletry & Fragrance Association (yes, it's a real group too) are saying this is "no reason for concern". Spokesperson John Bailey said lead is not intentionally put into lipstick and that even though it's not a threat companies are "committed to reducing that level even further." Hmm. Why bother if it's so negligible?
Oh yes, and they add that women don't ingest very much of the lipstick they wear anyway. No? Then why give the lipsticks such edible sounding names such as "Lipstick Merlot", "Maraschino" "Cherry Brandy" , etc. So it isn't consumed? Then where does it go? Why do women and our dear transgendered folk re-apply lipstick during the course of their busy days of glamour & work? It sure doesn't evaporate.
It reminds us of those old spy thrillers where the femme fatale wore poisoned lipstick to kill the spies---a "kiss of death". Who knew that it would become a real weapon. Imagine the wife or girlfriend getting revenge on her man by kissing him to death! And what of our sisters--the lipstick lesbians? Will this term now become the equivalent of Typhoid Mary?
I suppose we can be grateful for one thing. That horrible and despicable anti-gay, anti-Semitic, arch-conservative hack Ann Coulter, the poster girl for horny decrepit neocons everywhere may be done in by something as simple as her own vanity. The more she peddles her propaganda on TV the more she has to re-apply that deadly lipstick. So let's not silence this anorexic she-devil. Every chance she has to spew up her acid-refluxed diatribes on the airwaves the closer she'll come to poisoning herself.
